Learning to Shoot Inspiring Images Online Course- November 2011

Lynne Eodice, author of Photos That Inspire Photo Workshop, will be teaching another edition of her online course on photography basics entitled “Learning to Shoot Inspiring Images.” This four-week course will be available through BetterPhoto.com on November 9, 2011, so reserve your spot now!

Course Description:

This course is designed to teach the beginning photographer about the D-SLR and have fun doing it. We’ll begin by examining lens choices, ISO settings, and what the various camera buttons and dials mean. From there, we’ll move on to f-stops and shutter speeds, and how to utilize them for creative control. You’ll learn how to see the way the camera does, and utilize various rules of composition for best results. Then put it all together by shooting your favorite subjects. Pro Tips for Great Exposure Online Photo Course- October 2011

Lynne Eodice, author of Photos That Inspire Photo Workshop, will be teaching an online course on exposure entitled “Pro Tips for Great Exposure.” This monthly course will be available through BetterPhoto.com beginning on October 5, 2011, so reserve your spot now!

Course Description:

In this exciting four-week course, you’ll learn how to express your own personal vision by exposing images correctly at the time you shoot them. You’ll learn why it’s important to take control of your exposures, about your camera’s metering modes, how to get successful exposures regardless of the type of camera you own, and how to deal with challenging exposure situations. The instructor is Lynne Eodice, contributor to Digital Photographer. She is also the former features editor for Petersen’s PHOTOgraphic magazine, and author of Photos That Inspire Photo Workshop. In addition to Pro Tips for Great Exposure, she also teaches a course for BetterPhoto called Learning to Shoot Inspiring Images. You’ll have the opportunity to shoot interesting assignments each week, and Lynne will be on hand to give you helpful feedback. Proper exposure is the basis for shooting successful digital images, and you’ll enjoy learning how to do so in this course.

Flickr Announces Photo Session: Sharing Photos in Real Time

Flickr has just announced a new interactive feature called Photo Session, which allows users to share their Flickr photostreams and sets in real time with friends—kind of the way Dad used to pull out the slide projector and show the neighbors summer vacation pictures, only digitally. In Photo Session, groups can browse photos and chat together in real-time, on the computer, iPhone, or iPad. They can even interact with the images in cute ways, like doodling on them (see video below). Check out the Flickr Photo Session page for information on how to start a session of your own.
