- LAist featured this week a great roundup of photos from the recent Dia de Los Muertos event at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Besides being great shots, they might inspire your Haloween costume ideas for this weekend!
- onOne Software announced the much anticipated Plugin Suite 5. (Pre-order now and save $200)
- Tamron has produced a Macro How-To video with professional photographer, Roy Toft, using the Tamron 60mm F2 lens.

-Stll Life With… posted a great, comprehensive and beautifully illustrated piece on the 2009 International Conference on Food Styling & Photography Master Class that she attended.
-onOne Software released their Plug-in Suite 4.5.1, and it’s now available for immediate download.
-On view right now at the Getty Center is “In Focus: Making a Scene“– photographs “drawn exclusively from the J. Paul Getty Museum’s collection,” which “make no pretense about presenting the world as it exists; instead, they are the productions of directors and actors who rely on stagecraft and occasional darkroom trickery to tell stories.”

-Fantasea announced two new underwater camera housings just in time for summer: the FL-19/20 for Nikon Coolpix L19 & L20 cameras and the FA-480 for the Canon PowerShot A480.
-onOne Software announced its first ever iPhone application. The new DSLR Camera Remote for iPhone allows photographers using a supported Canon EOS DSLR that is connected to a WiFi enabled computer to remotely control the settings of the camera, fire the shutter, review images, and even get a live viewfinder preview.
-Think Take Photo collaborated on a stunning concept video for their soon to be released addition to the Multimedia Wired Up Collection of bags, specifically designed for those shooting still, audio, and video in the field.
-Getty Images launched a new Flickr photo clouds feature to The Flickr Collection, which lets users visually group images that catch their eye.

onOne Software just announced the availability to consumers of a free, “Lite” version of their PhotoTools 2 Standard Edtion plug-in for Adobe® Photoshop® CS2, CS3 and CS4 that “utilizes the power of Photoshop Actions to provide a range of imaging tools including effects, corrections and production automation in a full-featured interface.”
PhotoTools 2 Lite includes 14 effects found in both PhotoTools 2 Standard Edition and PhotoTools 2 Professional Edition, including: “reproducing classic photographic effects like Bleach Bypass and Cross Process, to reproducing film stock such as Kodachrome® and Velvia®, to modern effects including automatic skin smoothing.”
