One lucky photographer will receive a new Nikon D7000 camera, a private tutorial from a Nikon product specialist, and a photography excursion with a National Geographic professional photographer.You can enter once per day until January 26, 2011.

The 2010 National Geographic Photo Contest is open through the end of the month, and if you haven’t heard of it or already entered, below more information from NatGeo. They are offering some big prizes and exposure to one talented photographer!
National Geographic is calling photographers from around the world to participate in their 2010 Photo Contest! The talented winner will have their picture published in worldwide editions of National Geographic renowned magazine, receiving incredible exposure and global recognition. They will also win a trip to Washington D.C. to participate in the annual National Geographic Seminar in January, as well as a cash prize of $10,000 (USD).
No matter what your skill level, all entries are accepted across three categories: People, Places, and Nature. Each entry has a fee of $15, but there is no limit on the number of entries per entrant. Before the conclusion of the contest, online photo galleries featuring top submissions in each category will be updated weekly for web users to vote on for the selection of the Viewer’s Choice winner. Users can also download wallpapers and complete jigsaw puzzles from featured entries.
The competition ends November Tuesday, November 30th. The Grand prize winner as well as the winners from each category are chosen by a panel of experts. The judges will announce the global grand-prize winner in December 2010.

Canon has kicked off its “Why Do You Love Football?” amateur photo contest, which invites photographers to show Canon and the NFL why you love football. According to Canon, all you have to do to enter is “grab your camera and show us why YOU love youth football. The National Park Service has kicked off its annual National Historic Landmarks Photo Contest—this year named “Imaging Our National Heritage”—which “encourages people to use their cameras to capture the meaning of the National Historic Landmark in a photo.” The contest is open to both US natives and foreign travelers.
