  5. Andy says:

I’ve always thought of Pentax as top-notch, and this camera is nicely loaded with features, but like some of the other folks here, it’s the chocolate color that first caught my eye. Performance wise, I liek that the camera uses AA batteries, which are ubiquitous enough to alwas be available, even if you have grab them out of the toothbrush and tv remote! The wide range and affordability of compatible lenses is another nice point.

  6. Joey Bedford says:

Just got into photography the light weight v/s mp looks to be a benefits.

  7. Kristina says:

I love the quality of the pictures Pentax cameras create. This summer, during my first photo class I fell in love with Pentax cameras. The Pentax k1000 is my baby currently and I’d like to be able to get my hands on a Pentax DSLR. Winning the K-x would be a dream come true, I’d give it a great home here in Hawaii. I’m sure this beauty would like it here too. <3

  8. Grigory says:

I like the camera’s design. The same features can be found in almost any camera in that price range, but this one looks really old school and retro. :-)

  9. Kevin says:

Fingers crossed. Thanks for the chance!

For a few years I had access to a SLR and got to take lots of great photos, but it had to go back to the owner and have been stuck with a point and shoot since. I love the customization that can be done with a SLR and would love to try a DSLR. And the delicious color doesn’t hurt either.

  13. Honestly I have never used a Pentax, but would love for the Pentax to be my first DSLR camera ever….

Since I was in high school, I was looking for a pink dslr , this is what I asked for my birthday. I love to take pictures, ‘coz this symbolizes my life. memories. But sad to say, my mom can’t give me this because it cost more than $600. too bad. well, now I see that you are giving away this cAmera, it would be a great opportunity. who knows right? (: Thanks ((:

  32. tina Mcgavero says:

From research, I found that the pentax k-x is very good at taking pictures in low lighted situations. I compared it with other cameras like the Nikkon and find that the pentax suits my purposes best. I think this camera brings the drama that I want from photos. I hope I win this!

  33. Jan Prather says:

My husband and I both have a Pentax DSL Camera. I have a IST DL 6.1 Megapixel, and My husband has a K20. We would love to upgrade to a 12.4 megapixel. I am the yearbook advisor at my school and many times Our cameras are used for school purposes. It would be great to have an upgrade and let my IST DL stay at school for those special moments.

  34. Harvy says:

Truly a special camera. It really looks wild. Haven’t seen it up close and personal yet but I’m keeping my eyes open for it. If the pictures it takes are as good as its body looks it should be a great camera.

  35. Barbara A. says:

I’ve never had a DSLR before and it would be really great to win one as nifty as this Pentax K-x. Here’s hoping.

  36. Christy says:

I love the retro look of this camera! I am in the market for a entry-level DSLR and would love this one!

  37. tony c. says:

This camera would be the perfect gift for my girlfriend for Xmas! She’s been wanting to upgrade – and I think she’d really dig the brown color because it’s different!

  38. Harvy says:

Please ignor and disregard my last Entry. The link that I pasted to my tweet was wrong. This is the actual link.

  39. Jeff S. says:

It looks so nice I’d like to take a bite out of it. Seriously though, It has some excellent features and would be a pleasure to own.

  40. Tim A says:

When I followed the link to look at Random.org to it said I had only 1 entry, but I tweeted so I should have had 2. I don’t know if that means anything

  41. Brian says:

So I posted my tweet link, but now it’s not here. How could I win if my post was deleted. I sure as heck didn’t delete it. I want/need that camera and wouldn’t delete my chance of winning the camera. Can someone from DP please explain what happened to my post? (Yes, I’m sure I posted, I was the 46th or 47th post and checked to see that my post displayed. I even opened the page in Chrome and IE to check.)

  42. @Tim A:
You were entered for two submissions. One entry is under your commenter handle (Tim A), which counted as your tweet entry. The other entry is under your email address that you gave us (which I will not share publicly on here). Enter your email address in the random.org form and it will show that you had another entry submitted under that. Sorry for the confusion; random.org requires that all entrants have a different identifier, so for tweets I used entrants’ commenter handles and for written comments I used email addresses. Let me know if you have any further questions. Best of luck on the next giveaway!

  43. @Brian:
You were submitted once as an entrant in the drawing. If you search the email address that you gave us at the random.org results page (http://www.random.org/draws/details/?draw=3650) (I will not write your email address publicly here), you will see that you were entered. Unfortunately your second entry (tweet) was not eligible because it was not linked to in a separate comment. If you see the contest rules on how to enter it says, “Please note that if you choose to enter using both methods, you need to post two separate comments on this post (one comment for method #1 and one comment for method #2).” I’m sorry for any confusion and I do hope you will be encouraged to enter another giveaway.

Your comment certainly was not deleted. It is on page 5 of the “older comments” archive. I can see that it was entered on 10/13/2010 at 1:03pm Pacific Time. Let us know if you have further questions.
