Abe Ordover established The Ordover Gallery in 2003 in Solana Beach, CA. Ordover, a Yale-educated law professor, attorney, and mediator, had changed careers and become a fine art photographer. The gallery was established with the mission of elevating the photographic art form to greater prominence among collectors and nature enthusiasts by showcasing the nation’s best nature and wildlife photographers. To date, The Ordover Gallery has featured the contemporary masters of the medium, including Art Wolfe, Frans Lanting, Christopher Burkett, Galen Rowell, and Charles Cramer, among others. In 2006 the Ordover Gallery formed a partnership with the San Diego Natural History Museum. This led to the opening of a second Ordover Gallery location, on the 4th floor of the Museum.
